A recently conducted citywide poll shows 72% of adult residents of Los Angeles support the Farmers Field stadium and convention center renovation project. Support for Farmers Field is even stronger among residents within a two-mile radius of the project, with 82% support. Read More

New Convention Center Renderings Released

New renderings of the soon-to-be renovated Los Angeles Convention Center were released late last week. The renderings presented by architectural firm Populous, show the replacement of the old West Hall of the convention center, and the extension of the building towards the location of Farmers Field. Read More

Governor Brown signs SB 292, the Farmers Field Bill

Yesterday in Los Angeles, Governor Jerry Brown joined Mayor Anthony Villaraigosa and supporters of the Farmers Field project from all across California to sign SB 292, the Farmers Field bill. The bill signing took place at the site of what will become the new Pico Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center, and featured speeches from Governor Brown, Mayor Villaraigosa, Assembly Speaker John A. Perez, President Pro Tem of the State Senate Darrell Steinberg, AEG President & CEO Tim Leiweke, and Maria Elena Durazo of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor. Read More

Clinton Global Initiative recognizes AEG for commitment to action

The Clinton Global Initiative added its weight today to an already prestigious list of supporters for AEG's Farmers Field in Los Angeles. CGI recognized Farmers Field as the first LEED-certified stadium in the NFL, and AEG as one of the world's most environmentally conscious venue operators. The two organizations will work together to monitor the stadium's environmental impacts. Read More

Great News! SB 292, the bill to help make Farmers Field the most environmentally friendly stadium in the country and protect thousands of jobs from being delayed by frivolous lawsuits, passed out of the State Senate by an overwhelming margin. Combined with yesterday's victory in the State Assembly, the bill now goes to the governor for his signature. Read More

SB 292 clears Assembly, contact the Senate today!

The Farmers Field stadium and event center has taken another step forward. Yesterday, the California Assembly voted to approve SB 292 by a vote of 59-13. The bill will help make Farmers Field the most environmentally friendly stadium in the country. The bill, introduced by State Senator Alex Padilla and strongly supported by Assembly Speaker John Perez, also protects the project from frivolous lawsuits that would delay thousands of jobs from coming to Los Angeles next year. Read More
